Unless you have been living under a fashion rock for the past few years, it is very likely you have heard of the blonde Brit taking the modelling world by storm; Cara Delevigne. However, you may not be familiar with it equally beautiful and style-savvy sister Poppy. If you don’t know her, well you definitely should because this girl has a killer sense of style. But don’t worry if you don’t know her, because I’m here to help, showing you some of my favourite of her looks and how to recreate them for yourself.
Look One:
How stunning is this outfit? So stunning that Poppy wore it twice (which is no big deal for most people but a lot of fashion critics throw a tantrum about it). This is from February, 2012, but this is still very much in style and perfect for the transition of the seasons or for colder evenings in spring.
Skirt:
These are the most similar options I have been able to find to her pale pink Ecote double slit maxi skirt which is no longer available, except on ebay. (Click on the photos to be redirected)
Forever 21 and New Look also do some nice maxi skirts and the great thing about this look it it is versatile when it comes to the colour of the skirt.
Top:
Poppy wears the Givenchy Skeleton Print Tank Top but if that is out of your budget (sorry Givenchy but I won’t spend over $100 on a tank top) most black and white tank tops would look just as good.
Sweatshirt:
She has a black sweatshirt underneath her jacket which definitely isn’t essential but would provide some warmth if you were to wear something like this in cold weather.
Jacket:
How gorgeous is Poppy’s jacket? For this look you could easily wear any of your favourite black leather jackets but I would go with one that’s quite simple (i.e. without a lot of metal embellishments etc.) and cropped.
Shoes:
With this, again there are a lot of options for what shoes to wear depending on the occasion but I would probably also wear black leather ankle booties.
Accessories:
Keeping it simple, all that is added is a brown belt and a black satchel. Brown and black often clash but the way it is worn here it looks perfect.
Look Two :
So simple yet effortlessly chic! The best part? Even if you don’t like fur, you could replace the jacket with an anorak or leather one.
Top:
Easy peasy, just a black and white striped tee. Poppy wears one with a higher neck.
Jeans:
Once again, nice and easy just black jeans! You want to get a pair that suits you though, for instance some people look better in high waisted skinny jeans.
Coat:
Fur jackets are warm and soft, and the one Poppy wears is beautiful. I personally would choose a faux fur option in the same
grey-blue tone as she wears.
Shoes:
Her shoes here are much like those in look once, but if you don’t like wearing heels a pair of black converse or Oxfords would look equally cute.
Accessories:
The cobalt-blue bag is what really makes this outfit beautiful and stand out. It also matches the blue undertones of the fur coat.
Look Three:
Last but certainly not least, this look from London Fashion Week 2012. How enviable is her dress?
Dress:
This dress is a beautiful shift dress with an amazing “crocodile-skin” texture. If that’s not your style then a plain or differently textured one would look equally cute.
Shoes:
What I think I like most about this look is the way she styles the cute, feminine dress with edgier boots; that’s right up my alley!
Accessories:
A girl can change an entire outfit with just a hat and a handbag which is exactly what Miss Delevingne has done.
